So this barbecue season, remember to keep your friends and family safe with these four important points: clean (your hands, cooking surfaces, and everything else), cook (the meat thoroughly), separate (anything that can be cross-contaminated), and chill (food at a temperature below 40°).
although taken for granted the FDA is constantly pointing out how important it is to practice safe food handling processes. personally i have hand-sanitizer strategically placed throughout all the places i am to keep clean but soap and water is very important when swimming and playing and preparing food to be cooked.
